Frisk CS10 Paper - the acclaimed 'vintage' paper beloved by graphic & technical illustrators.   

A bit of history: This was the flagship specialist paper from the original Frisk Products company that ceased trading in the 1990's (the brand name Frisk was subsequently sold on).   These pads would have originated from around that time.

Developed in the 'fifties, CS10 'line-paper' (ie able to retain sharp, crisp pen lines) was originally laminated onto a board for technical line-work at a time long before digital illustration or computer design was even thought of!   CS10 was also widely used for airbrush illustration.

CS10 - the internationally acclaimed technical illustration board - has been the discerning choice of artists for well over half a century and has a surface quality yet to be equalled.
This pad contains 20 leaves of the surface paper used in the manufacture of CS10 Board.
The unique surface can be used for most types of pen work: technical, ruling, stylus, mapping & calligraphic.
The highly calendered* surface of the paper will withstand many corrections - transfer lettering may be removed without fear of damaging the surface and pen lines may be erased with a sharp scalpel still leaving the surface smooth enough for the line to be redrawn without feathering."

SUGGESTION: The surface of CS10 was enhanced by a coating of kaolin (china clay), but aside from that, CS10 is perhaps similar to Yupo paper for surface feel (though not as 'plasticky').
